The UC Hastings MSL for Health and Science Professionals is focused on the vital intersection between healthcare and law. Gaining a strong understanding of the law is particularly central to the success of health and science professionals, whether they are involved in policy, advocacy, administration, research, or medical practice. Professionals in the health and science field increasingly deal with the modern regulatory state, participate in legal processes, research legal actors and institutions, and interact with legal systems. Yet, most leaders in health and science have little training in understanding the complexities and nuances of the law and legal processes.
The UC Hastings MSL for Health and Science Professionals is a one-year program designed for individuals who do not seek to practice law, but who instead want to equip themselves with a more sophisticated understanding of legal reasoning and doctrine. The MSL program for Health and Science Professionals is a compelling alternative or addition to a Masters in Public Health.
The UC Hastings MSL degree will give you the tools you need to maximize your impact. To learn more about the MSL for Health and Science Professionals, please watch our video or check out the profiles of our inaugural class which includes doctors, researchers, and other leaders in their fields.
