Student Health Services Hours
During the Summer Break, Student Health Services will be open 8:30AM - 3:30 PM Tuesday to Thursday and 8:30AM - 2:00 PM on Fridays administratively only, SHS is colsed on Monday's. There are NO Doctors or Nurses available at this time.
How to use UCSHIP during the summer break
If you have UC SHIP and need to see a physician over summer break, you may self-refer. In order to find an Anthem Blue Cross PPO provider within California please select the following prompts on the network website:
In order to find a network provider within the US (but outside California) select the PPO button under guest, and go to the next page. If you have any difficulty finding an in-network provider please contact SHS at 415-565-4612.

Important Tax Information for Students Enrolled in UC SHIPThe 1095-B is the new Internal Revenue Service (IRS) health coverage form verifying you were enrolled in a healthcare plan in 2015 that qualifies as Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) as required by the ACA. UC SHIP is a MEC-recognized healthcare plan. You should have received your Form 1095-B by early April, verifying that you satisfied the “individual mandate” under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) for the 2015 tax year. Please know that you can report your healthcare plan without your 1095-B. Please go here for more information.
Beginning August 1, 2015, the University of California Students and their dependents can download the new StudentHealth app through Anthem Blue Cross.
