Stephen Liacouras works full-time as a Circuit Mediator at the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He mediates a wide variety of civil cases, including employment, contract, environmental, insurance, bankruptcy, intellectual property, ERISA and civil rights matters. Before joining the court as a mediator in 2001, Mr. Liacouras practiced civil litigation at Rosen, Bien, Galvan & Grunfeld (formerly Rosen, Bien & Asaro); worked as an in-house attorney at Centaur Technology in Austin Texas; supervised civil research attorneys at the Ninth Circuit; and clerked for Chief Judge Sloviter on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia. Mr. Liacouras received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1990 and his B.A. from University of California at Berkeley in 1986.
