Kelly Hunsaker ’93 and Jennifer Kash ’99 Named Among the Most Important Women in Tech

Kelly Hunsaker ’93 of Fish & Richardson and Jennifer Kash ’99 of Quinn Emanuel have been named to The Recorder’s annual Women Leaders in Technology law list.

“These are the lawyers who get the call for that first, crucial funding round, the patent dispute only scientists can understand, and licensing-as-lifeline deal, the long-sought liquidity event,” said Recorder Editor in Chief Greg Mitchell.

Hunsaker and Kash are among 50 women who will be honored at a Sept. 25 reception.

Hunsaker is a principal in Fish & Richardson’s Silicon Valley office. She leads patent litigation in a while range of technologies, including hardware, software, network security and encryption, database technologies and mobile phones. She previously served as head of Business Development for the firm’s global litigation practice group, and was the first’s first National Chair of Firmwide Diversity (2004-2006).

Kash is co-managing partner of Quinn Emanuel’s San Francisco office. She is an intellectual property trial lawyer with experience in patents, trade secrets, contracts and antitrust disputes. In 2012, Kash obtained a complete defense verdict for client Symantec, defeating a claim for damages exceeding $1 billion. While at UC Hastings, she was Editor-in-Chief of the Hastings Women’s Law Journal.
