Robin FeldmanRobin Feldman

On Tuesday, Professor Robin Feldman released a new study describing additional findings from her survey of Venture Capitalists and portfolio companies regarding their recent experiences with patent assertions: “Patent Demands & Startup Companies: The View from the Venture Capital Community.” These findings add greater evidence to what Professor Feldman has long been revealing: patent trolls are a significant burden on our patent litigation system. The survey and its findings have caused quite a stir in the tech community, and multiple news agencies have written about them. A partial list follows.

Morris RatnerMorris Ratner

Professor Morris Ratner authored a “Viewpoint” column for the local San Francisco Recorder titled, "The Importance of Teaching Law Practice Management."

Writes Ratner: "Recent and disruptive changes in the legal market—including intensified competition among legal services providers, a shift in power to sophisticated clients, technological advances, and the emergence of new techniques for managing and delivering legal services—have made it all the more imperative that law schools prepare new graduates to be competent and adaptable entrepreneurs."
