          MLPS, Innovation Clinics Cited Among 25 Most Innovative at U.S. Law Schools

          PreLaw Magazine ranks new UC Hastings clinics among the "25 most innovative ideas" in the country.

          The Institute for Innovation Law and the Medical-Legal Partnership for Seniors were listed by PreLaw Magazine as among the 25 most innovative clinics in the country.

          “Our students are working with very young, early-stage entrepreneurs,” said Robin Feldman, professor and director of the Institute for Innovation Law. “Imagine grad students with a dream for a new computer or a new drug delivery system. They each believe they have the next greatest idea.”

          In the Medical-Legal Partnership for Seniors, UC Hastings students develop key lawyering skills through representation of low-income elderly patients at a University of California, San Francisco medical clinic. Students assist clients in legal issues related to health, such as advance health care planning, estate planning and public benefits.
