          Calendar Roundup: Fall Scholarly Events at UC Hastings

          Unless otherwise noted, all events are free and open to the public.

          UC Hastings College of the Law announces a plethora of academic and scholarly events taking place on campus over the next few months. Of special note are the September 26 Tobriner Lecture, where William Eskridge will discuss the gay marriage cases, the October 18 Conference on Corporate Governance in Japan, and the November 8 Arab Spring Symposium in Memory of Ambassador Chris Stevens.           September
          Thursday 26th from 3:30-6:00pm in the Alumni Reception Center at 200 McAllister Street: Tobriner Lecture – William Eskridge, Jr., John A. Garver Professor of Jurisprudence of Yale Law School.

          October
          Wednesday 9th from 3:30-5:00pm in the Alumni Reception Center at 200 McAllister Street: Rutter Award Ceremony.
          Friday 18th, all day in Room K of 198 McAllister Street: Corporate Governance in Japan.

          November
          Friday 8th, all day in the Alumni Reception Center at 200 McAllister Street: Arab Spring Symposium in Memory of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens '89, sponsored in conjunction with the Stevens Family.

          January
          Wednesday 15th from 3:30-5:30pm in the Alumni Reception Center at 200 McAllister Street: Riley Memorial Lecture Series in Environmental Law - Bruce Babbitt, former Governor of Arizona and former U.S. Secretary of the Interior.

          February
          Wednesday 5th, from 3:30-5:00pm in the Alumni Reception Center at 200 McAllister Street: Osagie K. Obasogie Book Release Event – featuring Devon Carbado, Pregerson Professor of Law, UCLA School of Law.
          Monday 24th, all day in the Alumni Reception Center at 200 McAllister Street: Global Intellectual Property Conference.
          Friday 28th, all day in the Alumni Reception Center at 200 McAllister Street: Fashion Law Symposium.
