Jane Pandell, founding principal of Pandell Law Firm, Inc., was a partner in a San Francisco law firm with offices in Northern and Southern California before forming her own firm in 1987. Ms. Pandell has 30 years of experience in arbitrations, mediations, trials and appellate practice in state and federal courts representing design and environmental professionals, developers, owners, and product manufacturers in matters concerning professional liability; construction law; environmental and land-use; copyright and trademark; government contracts; and catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims.
She has assisted clients in business matters, errors and omissions, and multi-party complex litigation in Northern and Southern California and has associated in as counsel on cases in Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, New York and Oregon. Her jury trial experience includes the achievement of unanimous defense verdicts in professional malpractice and products liability litigation. Her appellate work includes published cases on construction law, professional liability, and legal ethics in the California Courts of Appeal in the First, Second and Fourth District.
Ms. Pandell received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in San Francisco and served as a law clerk in the Office of Staff Attorneys at the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Ms. Pandell was awarded a Bachelor of Arts with honors from the California State University, Stanislaus, where she also attended graduate school in public administration and finance. She is a Judge Pro Tem and mediator in Contra Costa County Superior Court and is on the panel of mediators and alternative dispute resolution neutrals of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. She has earned a Martindale-Hubbell Preeminent AV®-rating and, since 2007 has been listed in the Northern California Super Lawyers® published in San Francisco Magazine and Law & Politics.
