          Visiting Students

          Students attending other ABA/AALS law schools can spend a semester or two at UC Hastings as Visitors.  Visiting Student status is granted to students who enroll for a semester or an academic year at UC Hastings but who will still receive their degrees from their home law schools.  Visiting applicants may apply for fall and/or spring terms and they may visit during their 2L or 3L years. 

          Deadlines

          • June 30 for the Fall semester
          • November 15 for the Spring semester

          Submit the following documents via the LSAC Credential Assembly Service:

          • Online Application at LSAC.org
          • Personal Statement outlining your reasons for wanting to attend UC Hastings. 
          • One letter of recommendation, ideallly from a professor at your current law school. However you are welcome to use a letter from your original law school application.
          • Resume

          Please submit the following directly to UC Hastings

          • Official transcript of all law school work, mailed directly from your home law school to UC Hastings
          • For students who enroll as Visitors: A letter from your current law school indicating that you have permission to visit UC Hastings. This letter should be on your law school's letterhead, signed by your Academic Dean or his/her designee

          UC Hastings will request an updated CAS report directly from LSAC.

          Financial Aid

          For Visiting Students, financial aid is awarded through the school of origin via a financial aid consortium agreement.
