Faculty & Administration

Established by statute in 1878, UC Hastings is governed by a Board of Directors.  One director is an heir or representative of Serranus Clinton Hastings.  The remainder are appointed by the Governor of the State of California, confirmed by the State Senate and serve for 12 years.

The faculty at UC Hastings has the perfect blend of experience and new talent.  Their writings include articles and books that impact law and policy at the local, national and international level.  Many of their textbooks are used in classrooms throughout the nation.  Individual faculty biographies depict the rich scholarly interests and numerous professional achievements of our faculty.
