UC Hastings Interview with Supreme Court Justice Scalia
Antonin Scalia, senior associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, returned to his law professor roots Sept. 17, 2010, when he spent the day at UC Hastings College of the Law. The justice devoted most of his visit to interacting with students, including teaching an administrative law class.
In the afternoon, Scalia engaged in a wide-ranging question-and-answer session with UC Hastings Professor Calvin Massey, a noted constitutional law scholar. The 400-plus audience, in the LBM auditorium, was made up mostly of students.
The event was part of Legally Speaking, a series featuring in-depth interviews with prominent lawyers, judges and academics co-produced by UC Hastings College of the Law and California Lawyer.
Scalia's interview received extensive media coverage, both locally and nationally.
