The 2013 UC Hastings Honors Gala was the first of what will become the signature alumni event for the law school and one of the top annual legal events in San Francisco and in the State of California.

UC Hastings recognized three individuals who have achieved great success in their careers and have made significant contributions to the law and to their communities:

WILLIE L. BROWN JR. '58 | ALUMNUS OF THE YEAR
After serving two terms as Mayor of the City and County of San Francisco and as the longest serving speaker of the California State Assembly, Willie Brown remains a political force both locally and nationally.

SIMONA AGNOLUCCI '06 | RISING ALUMNA OF THE YEAR
From litigating for major firms and cutting-edge tech companies in complex cases to her active pro bono practice representing women fleeing gender-based prosecution, Simona Agnolucci is making her mark.

ROGER C. PARK | DISTINGUISHED FACULTY OF THE YEAR
Professor Park is an internationally recognized scholar and award-winning teacher whose eight books and scores of articles use interdisciplinary methods to examine evidence law.

"I am pleased to present these three notable individuals in anticipation of our first honors gala to be held this fall," said UC Hastings Chancellor & Dean Frank H. Wu. "Drawing on a more than one hundred year tradition of service to our city, state and nation, these three honorees are excellent examples of the breadth and depth of the impact of UC Hastings on the broader community."
