Mr. Gibson joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1976 and has 36 years of experience in taxation, business structuring and intercompany transactions. Tom held various practice leadership positions during his tenure at PwC. He spent his last ten years with the firm leading a tax specialty practice consisting of over 70 professionals. Tom reached the firm’s mandatory Partner retirement age of 60 during 2007 and has been working as an independent consultant for PwC and for several of his former clients.
Mr. Gibson holds the degree of Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles. He was a member of the Hastings Law Review and president of the Third Year Class. He has testified as an expert witness in several matters of international tax controversy. He is recognized as one of America’s Top Tax Advisers by International Tax Review Magazine and as a Leading US Tax Lawyer by Euromoney Magazine. He has been consistently recognized by International Tax Review in its Annual Guide to the World’s Leading Tax Advisers.
