Ted is an Assistant General Counsel within the Worldwide Sales Group at Microsoft. He currently leads Microsoft's legal team responsible for US retail and OEM sales, worldwide marketing, and antipiracy/IP protection program planning and implementation. Ted manages a team of transactional attorneys and paralegals that focus on optimizing Microsoft's licensing, distribution, IP protection, and marketing efforts. Previously, Ted led Microsoft's Asia-Pacific PC and device manufacturer transactions, including licensing, distribution, and marketing of operating system, productivity, application, server, and online service products. He also is the co-founder of www.militaryandveteransdiscounts.com, and serves as chair of the Microsoft legal department's military veteran outreach and preferred provider diversity teams, and on the board for the California Minority Counsel Program. Ted attended the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, as well as UCLA.
