Will grew up in Fresno, California as the son of another Hastings grad (Lawrence O’Neill, class of ’79) and the grandson of a Boalt grad (Elizabeth O’Neill). Law runs in the blood. Will graduated from Stanford University in 2004 and quickly joined the Hastings ranks. During his time at Hastings, Will served on the student government and ultimately co-President with current Board of Governors member Meg Cesare-Eastman. Will and Meg also served as co-chairs of their recent Reunion.
After graduating from Hastings, Will developed his practice in commercial litigation by joining Ross & Wersching, LLP, where former UC Hastings Foundation Board Member Eric Wersching practices. Will joined the Orange County office of Haynes and Boone, LLP in December 2010 as part of the firm’s business litigation, banking and financial services litigation, and real estate and construction litigation groups. There, he remains active with both the Stanford and Hastings alumni groups, served on the Board of the Young Lawyers Division of the Orange County Bar Association, and currently serves as the Editor for the Association of Business Trial Lawyers quarterly Report and Trustee of the Orange County Celtic Bar Association. Will’s firm hosted the annual Hastings admitted students gathering for Orange County in 2012.
