Student Life at UC Hastings
What do UC Hastings students do outside of class? They actively participate in a wide variety of campus extra-curricular activities, work out at our fitness center in the Tower (take a Yoga or Zumba class there!), or participate in numerous school-wide events, both on and off campus. Popular events include “Beer on the Beach,” where various campus organizations sponsor a Thursday afternoon reception, and "Cabaret" - an evening of food and fun for Hastings students, faculty and staff. Students take the party off-campus for the annual Barrister’s Ball and Spring Fling. Students also unwind by enjoying the abundant cultural and entertainment opportunities at their doorstep, in the heart of San Francisco. Check out our "Life in San Francisco" page for fun things to do in this incredible city!
UC Hastings College of the Law was founded in 1878 as the first law department of the University of California. We are located in San Francisco’s Civic Center—steps from City Hall, the State and Federal Buildings, the State Supreme, Superior and Appellate Courts, as well as the United States District Court and Court of Appeals.
